Printing & Color

Always use 4by6.com templates to ensure your cards are printed and cut correctly.

Our templates have been created to help you get the best results with your designs when your cards are cut.

It is important to note that there will always be some minor variation when your cards are cut. This is normal, but even the smallest variation can look like a glaring error if your design is not set up to compensate.

There are three main elements of the templates, designed to accommodate for overcutting where the cut happens inside the cut marks and overcutting where the cut happens outside the cut marks.

The black cut marks.

These indicate where your cards will be cut. Again, there may be some slight variation.

The red line is the bleed line.

Any color that goes up to the black cut line must also continue to the red bleed line. This guarantees that an undercut won't leave a unprinted section of your card.

The blue text safe area.

This is designed keep an overcut from cutting off important text.

text is not safe in this area
